hi there!

I wanted to ask for a first hand opinion on what it’s like to travel for work to Pretoria. My boss told me that there is an opportunity to go there for some training and transitioning positions to our location.

For context, I’m from Canada. White as can be, and have very visible tattoos on my arms. I’m worried that my appearance could be offensive/attract unwanted attention.

Ive travelled to many countries and have managed to develop a good common sense when it comes to travel. I worry though that this isnt enough and am reluctant to take this opportunity.

Another concern I have, is we (the company I work for) are taking jobs from this location and moving it to ours. And I feel like the wrong person could take this misfortune out on me, as I’m the only representative they can yell at…

I have a sad history of being an easy target for others because and I quote “I’m soft” or “it’s just easy”. So making myself even more vulnerable than I apparently already am.

Honest opinions would be great and much appreciated
