If this has been asked please direct me to the thred. The monsters like to stand outside and talk to the townspeople/ mock them. I wonder what would happen if someone just asked them flat out about their children and why/if they sacrificed them. I know they lie, but I'm curious if they would acknowledge it or there might be some truths in what they respond. Or maybe they would play dumb or honestly don't remember. Maybe even a change in body language? If they're going to stand outside windows and be annoying might as well get some info out of it.
