I think it could work out okay on paper… but that’s the issue, it’s only on paper. I’m still trying to get all these pieces.
The team breakdown is essentially this:
Scizor (Mega): Looks fun and with Technician boosted priority Bullet Punches, should deal a good amount of damage to anything it realistically hits. Bug Bite is to get rid of any berries that could hold back super effective hits or any Sitrus Berries being held by opposing Farigiraf or Sinistcha. Aerial Ace is there for coverage more than anything else and Protect is Protect.
Pelliper: Drizzle helps minimize the damage any fire type attack can come Scizor’s way. It also helps set up Archaludon for 1 turn Electro Shots. I feel like everything on Pelliper here is pretty bog standard and doesn’t require much explanation.
Maushold: Friend Guard is crazy strong for an ability from what I’ve watched. A simple support set here to assist with damage output across the board thanks to Helping Hand; Encore to force less optimal moves out of the opponent; Follow Me for redirection; and Population Bomb for some form of damage with held Silk Scarf to assist in the damage department when not using those moves.
Farigiraf: I started to realize how weak my team was to Trick Room as I was building it, so Farigiraf is here to essentially stop it with it’s own Trick Room. Hyper Voice and Psychic are just for strong STAB options that should do well in the damage department, and once again, Protect is Protect.
Archaludon: Strong Special Attacker with Stalwart to bypass Rage Powder and Follow Me against Mega Floette for strong Flash Cannons that should hopefully deal some decent damage. Electro Shot is just too good in the rain and Dragon Pulse is more reliable than Draco Meteor with accuracy.
Ninetales (Alola): Really here as another form of weather control against teams that want the rain up and Aurora Veil to boost defense. Blizzard is basically a gimme in Snow and Dazzling Gleam is just good Fairy coverage.
That was essentially the thought process I was having when team building, but I am still super new to this, so any help would be appreciated!
EDIT: Team is made for Doubles, I wasn’t sure what any of the buttons on Smogon actually meant so I just clicked the first one that was for Champions
