I took an assessment for a project, do I get an email or something? How long does it take to know what your results are?

The title is self explanatory. I started doing these remote positions back in December.

The last platform I worked for removed me in Feb , but luckily Handshake had invited me to a project 1-2 days after I got the news I am no longer apart of the project I was on.

Last week Friday, I got pulled over for having an expired tag (no one’s fault but my own) and whilst I was waiting for my ticket I got the email saying I am now removed from HH. A day after I got another email saying Project O was being paused. Hit me like a brick.

As soon as I got that initial email , I scoured Google to find as many platforms that are similar to handshake and took every assessment/application I could. Now a week later, and I finally got invited to a project on another platform that pays better than HH. Please don’t flood my DMs asking what platform or asking for referral links (there are none for the platform I’m on). I can GUARANTEE that if you just ask ChatGPT or look on Reddit you will find the platform I am on now, it’s high on the search results.

It’s possible for this line of work to be your sole income , but it is not ideal even in the slightest. But if you got no choice , you HAVE to expand your horizons and create as many safety nets as possible. Because you WILL get removed for no reason without any prior warnings.

I’m fortune enough to have a day job that can sustain me and my family outside of Handshake and similar platforms, but I wanted to give my 2sense for those that rely on this more than others. Best of luck , and never give up.

Just got hit with the 1 , 2. I still have my real job so I know it could be a lot worse, but damn does this suck.

I got removed from HH , because of “quality” reasons but I submitted 4 tasks in the last 4 weeks and all of them were H2H and Omni tasks. It sorta tells me they’re just clearing space , for reasons I don’t know.

Sort of expected Project O to be paused. Heard nothing in the slack all week.

For anyone recently paused or removed, just do your best to find and apply to other platforms. Handshake isn’t the only option. Just look on Reddit and Google and you’ll find something! Best of luck to all of you!
