Questions regarding enemies

Yesterday i went to the Train depot/station in Romashka, and it was completely devoid of enemies, but there were 17,000 anomalies instead. Im wondering what the chance is that a POI has either some or all enemies replaced by anomalies per tide?

Second question. The devs wrote a diary about enemies at somepoint in which they stated that the game would feature "patrols". So far in my 168 hours of ITR2 ive only seen this once, in the form of 2 hunter mimics (shotgun) walking down the traintracks in outskirts.

Have anyone else encountered these features and are they just super rare?

I REALLY miss Rifts and the metastasis missions, i hope they return to ITR2 one day

The rifts were such a fun and excellent way to stress the player, and demand cold and composed strategy when approaching a compound. Not to mention the cool as fuck sound effects they made, and the randomness aspect they could provide if you werent fast enough.

I hope we see them return in some form, even if only as missions

Soul artifacts:

These artifacts arent gathered in anomaly fields, they spawn inside ash statues (very low spawn rate, like 1-3% per ash statue) Your artifact scanner will glow Red when you are near the artifact but it wont beep or indicate where the artifact is. Instead you must listen for new special sounds, such as loud weeping or crying. The cries should have multiple voices layered with 1 or 2 infants in the mix to really freak out the players when they hear it. Once the Statue containing the artifact is broken the artifact can be obtained and sold for 2000-3000.

I LOVE this anomaly, but placing it near doorways to small rooms is just foul. Ive encountered rooms in outskirts where i cannot exit the room without taking damage since the room is so small i cant move backwards to avoid the AOE (typically kitchens).

  1. Some distortion fields doesnt have artifacts to loot. (right after tide)

  2. The cube shot me when i was inside a building, there wasnt any windows or line of sight. It also shot without warning sounds and the red ring visuals

We all have our own gripes and things we would like to change with ITR1/2 but man i love them. I have combined 600 ish hours on the games and i feel like ive only just started with ITR2.

I simply wanted to praise the devs for their hard work and their transparency. Happy looting everyone!

  • Make the knife do more damage. Needing to stab a policeman mimic in the face twice doesnt feel right.
  • Once youve reached mid-endgame, it doesnt really feel like missions spawn in Kalsare(peninsula) It would be nice to have more incentive to go back there.
  • Im getting insane lag when i carry a full backpack of altered items. My game drops from 80-90 down to 40-50 frames.

I was looting north checkpoint bridge in romashka. I only heard 2 footsteps behind me and i barely managed to turn around and fire 3 bullets into the guy before i was turned into paste. So i wonder is this an audio bug, or do they actually have a "stealth mode" in their AI that makes them super quiet all of a sudden?

It also reminded me of my countless deaths to sliders in ITR1, I miss those guys.

my m4 feels a bit less "stiff"? then it normally does, however crouch walking to reduce movement speed helps a ton with holding it steady. I actually thought i was playing CS for a minute yesterday when i had to stop to shoot

I made a post yesterday about the final zone closing after beating the game is kinda wierd, since people want more playable area/ zones to explore and loot. This got me thinking today at work.

So my suggestion is that they make the final zone stay open after completion and add a new "Void" zone. The Void zone's access point is a portal that spawns somewhere random on one of the maps each tide. It will have a black frame instead of rusted iron, This zone will then take you to one of the 3 inbetween zones. The Map will update each wipe with 3 possible locations where the void portal could be.

These reused zones now feature alot of artifact spawns and random enemy spawns. The artifacts that spawn here could sell for more and use the old "rock" artifact models to make them distinct. Since the enemy spawns are random you could potentially end up with a zone with only heavy machine gunners if youre astronomically unlucky. This would always keep you on your toes.

What do yall think?
