I am hoping someone might be able to offer some guidance. I was active duty in the AF a long time ago, got out in 2006. I worked with JP-8. During that time I had constant exposure, mostly fumes. There was an instance that's documented when I was completely doused in it, head to toe, and it did get in my eyes as well. I ended up going to the ER with that. My migraines have been SC'd because of toxic exposure. My other SC's are not because of that. Shortly after (a few months) the aforementioned incident there was a change in my periods (also noted in my records). They became longer and heavier and I started experiencing pelvic pain. Once I got out, they continued to become more erratic and painful. But I just dealt with it. Eventually by 2019 I ended up with a 13.5 cm cyst on my right ovary which was removed along with my fallopian tube. Less than a year later my left ovary had a large cyst as well and I ended up having a total hysterectomy (at the age of 35) at the recommendation of my surgeon. The notes on my record state there were also additional small cysts in my remaining ovary, my cervix, and a fibroid in my uterus. I am not entirely sure where to start. I would like to file a claim for this but I am not sure how it should be labeled. I have started collecting medical records from before I joined, during my time in service, and after. Has anyone else gone through this process and have any advice? It would be much appreciated, thanks
