Clinic in Cyprus communication only via WhatsApp, is this normal?

Hi everyone,
Has anyone here had experience with Hope Fertility Clinic in Cyprus?

They have really good reviews online and I’ve been in touch with them, but so far all communication has been through WhatsApp. They don’t seem to use any other platforms, and there’s no email listed on their website.

When we reached the stage of sending documents, I submitted my intake form via WhatsApp but they couldn’t open it. They then gave me an email address to send everything to, but the first email apparently didn’t go through even though I sent the documents. Now I’m honestly not even sure if they received the second one because it’s just silence.

I know many clinics use WhatsApp or Telegram, but it feels strange that everything is only through WhatsApp and there’s no clear official email contact on the website. The whole process has felt a bit disorganized, and it’s making me unsure how professional they are.

Has anyone actually been treated there or visited the clinic? Did you have a good experience? Is this communication style normal for clinics in Cyprus?

I’d really appreciate any feedback.

I’ve been dealing with TMJ issues for several years now, and at this point I feel like I’m running in circles within the healthcare system in Canada without getting any real long-term direction.

Over the years I’ve tried a number of conservative treatments including a night guard, a deprogrammer splint, chiropractic care, physio, and corticosteroid injections. Some of them gave very short-term relief, especially manual work like chiropractic adjustments, but nothing has actually changed the underlying problem or made the pain manageable in a consistent way.

I also had an MRI done, which showed mild arthritis in one of the TMJ discs. That gave me at least some clarity on what might be going on structurally, but it didn’t really change the treatment options I was being offered.

Recently I was referred to an oral health professional who supposedly deals with TMJ cases in BC, but the appointment process stopped as soon as I said I wasn’t interested in Botox as a treatment option! The office just rejected me…That felt like a dead end for me, especially because Botox is not financially realistic long-term and doesn’t feel like a structural solution.

I also tried reaching out directly to maxillofacial surgery clinics, but I was told I can’t be seen without a referral from a TMJ or oral health specialist. One clinic even seemed surprised that I was being blocked at that level and said it’s unusual, which honestly made the situation even more confusing.

I’ve also looked into orthodontics as a possible solution, but from what I understand, braces or orthodontic work don’t really help TMJ in most cases and can sometimes even make it worse depending on the situation. Invisalign for minor adjustments might be an option, but it doesn’t seem like it would address the joint problem itself.

At this point, I’m trying to understand what realistic options actually exist beyond splints, Botox, and general advice like stress management, which doesn’t feel like it’s addressing the physical pain and discomfort I’m experiencing.

One procedure I came across is TMJ arthrocentesis ( thanks TikTok), and I’m wondering if anyone here has actually gone through it, especially in Canada. I’m curious whether it helped long-term or only provided temporary relief, and what the referral process looked like in your case. I’d also like to know what kind of diagnosis or imaging was needed to qualify for it, and whether people with similar findings, like mild arthritis or disc issues, had success with it.

Right now I just feel stuck because every direction seems to lead either to symptom management or to barriers in accessing specialists, and I’m trying to understand if there is actually a more meaningful treatment pathway that people have managed to access.

If anyone has been through something similar or has experience with arthrocentesis or other interventional TMJ treatments in Canada or outside of Canada, I would really appreciate hearing your experience.
