Male MC is a Mentor/Teacher who discovers on his own that healing magic can be applied to others offensively. The key plot point is that there is no defense against healing magic when used this way the body has no resistance to it and if i remember correctly he did get into trouble doing this cause of this knowledge the government made it illegal to teach healers how to use their magic this way.
