Dealer has an unsold 2024 model. How much negotiating is reasonable?

My local dealer has an unsold 2024 ford maverick tremor. MSRP is 42k, however 2026 Maverick tremors are listed at 41k, and I’ve seen unsold 2025’s as low as 37. The dealer told me they’d go 36k for the 2024 but that still seems high when 25’s (redesigned front and and updated engine) are only $1k more. Plus 2027’s will be on lots soon. Am I crazy for wanting to offer 32-33? Is that unreasonable for an almost 3 year old car that’s been sitting in the desert sun the whole time? I haven’t counter-offered yet and the truck is under a recall so I have some time to figure out a price I’m willing to pay.
If it matters, I’m a repeat customer and have bought from this dealer before

“Can your Maverick make it up the mountain? You can just ride with us”

It’s no tremor but it does fine on mild trails. Biggest issue is the street tires lol even when deflated down to 25psi

Might trade my 25 XLT 4K for a 24 XLT tremor

Mine has 10000 miles, the 24 tremor has 4000. I want better off road capability and physical knobs/buttons. I will probably never tow anything so I don’t care about losing that in return of getting a locking diff, physical interior buttons and a better front bumper. But what will my MPG hit be? I’m averaging 27 right now. What should I be expecting from a tremor MPG wise? The tremor is cheaper than what I owe on this, after taxes and fees it’s about even
