This is a blatant brag post. I'm quite proud of this accomplishment and I want to share it with people who will understand. I'm unsure if I flaired this post correctly, so please let me know if I should change it.
I'm still a pretty new player. It's only been a few months since I first picked up this game, and I only just got to MR14 a few days ago. I sort of did this just to see what would happen. I was out by myself farming for noctrul to get the honoria and went to Deck 12, since that's a good place to find blue veins. Just for fun, I decided to start the Exploiter Orb fight, unsure if I would be able to defeat it but willing to try. My only knowledge of the fight was a very cursory read of the wiki page, so I was essentially flying blind.
For the record, here's my loadout:
- Yareli Prime
- Burston Prime Incarnon
- Kompressa Prime
- Broken War
- Dethcube
The first phase was probably the hardest for me. The tight space underground caused me to spend most of it hiding behind a wall and occasionally popping my head out to shoot a bit. I eventually remembered, though, that my Necramech was equipped with a Fluctus, allowing me to shoot through the walls at Exploiter's weakpoints. That, combined with Vazarin's Void Snare to group up the Raknoids, made the underground bits easier.
Once we got above ground, things got more manageable. The only real hard part was dealing with the Coolant Raknoids, though my Burston made short work of them. Once I revealed the weakpoints, I fired up my Odonata's 1, sat in front of the weakpoint, and unloaded into it. (As a side note, I found out that headshots on Exploiter will still charge Incarnon form even if they don't do damage. Neat!)
Overall, this fight was very, very fun. I managed to clear it only using two revives, which I consider pretty good for my first time. I would say that this is one of my favorite Warframe bosses, right up there with Ropalolyst and Orowyrm. I can't wait to get to rank 5 with Fortuna so I can fight Profit-Taker!
