I hope I can post this here, but I started with my Fire Department on April 20th, I wasn't able to get hired on with the Department because they had no positions open and nethier did any of the other departments around and I let some of my training slip and haven't been practicing for like a year, my first day went horribly and I ended up getting a talking to from my BC and a verbal warning, I felt defeated and terrible because what happened was easily preventable, my next shift was 2 days later and I got a talking to from the chief about it and it was basically a reinforcement that what happened won't happen again, but now I'm on my 3rd shift and I keep feeling like I'm a failure and whenever I do something minor wrong I beat myself up heavily, and I feel so defeated and depressed every time, I am wondering if this isn't the Job for me. Is there any advice anyone can give?
