I remember reading a manga where the character could borrow the talents or abilities of ghosts he could befriend. I remember a scene of him standing there holding a sword with hand that the ghost of a samurai was wrapped around. I remember enjoying it but not much else. He may have gotten the sword from a museum case? I think the MC had short spiky hair, but i could be wrong, concussion issues suck :(
