March of the Machines + Eloise, Nephalia Sleuth + Blood Artist Interaction
So I am playing the Bloodborne proxy deck at my LGS this past friday. I have not played this deck a lot and don't yet fully understand it. I end up stealing an Atali which allows me to cast [[March of the Machines]] from exile for free.
When it drops, as I understand, all food, treasure, clues, etc. tokens become 0/0 artifact creatures and immediately die as a state based effect.
Me and my pod were wondering why one would put this card in this deck as [[Eloise, Nephalia Sleuth]] creates clues when my creatures die, and while sacrificing the clues is part of a lot of combos in the deck, them dying as a state based action prevents me from even saccing them, so they die instantly after being created.
Being dumb, I let this question stump me over the weekend before I think I figured it out, so I would like you guys to check my work:
Imagine a board state with Eloise, [[Blood Artist]] (or a similar card) and 5x clues.
I then play march of the machines.
Assuming it isn't countered, all my clues become 0/0 and die, causing 5x pings of Blood Artist to an opponent of my choice.
Them dying then activates Eloise's ability, creating 5x new clues.
The new clues become 0/0 creatures and die.
Repeat until everyone else is dead.
Is this right?
