They’ve infested my plants - really hope it’s not bedbugs.

They’ve shown up over the past couple of weeks and can be found on the leaves of three of our plants. I suspect a scale insect - but would love to rule out bedbugs (recent trip to Paris…). Form does not appear to match that of bed bugs and since they’re infesting plants that’s also a good sign … right? The only aspects that irritate me are the general shape and color.
Thanks!

I've searched the sub but I wasn't able to find more current posts regarding the topic. I do apologise if this posts triggers someone.

My wife and I are going to spend a total of 24 days in Iceland this August. We got a rooftop camper on a 4x4 car without much clearance and are looking forward to being spontaneous. Our only fixed items are: First two days/nights around the Golden Circle, ferry to Vestmannaeyjar, couple of nights on the island, ferry back to the main land.

This is where things get tricky. I messaged some campsites to book ahead for those first few stops and the reply I got was: not necessary. Is that still true for all of the campsites? We would love to just show up for the night & be able to adjust our plan according to what we see/like on our way around the Ring Road before we end our trip in Vestfirðir. But I really do not want us to be stranded without a place to sleep late in the evening/at night.

Which brings me to my question: Can I rely on campsites always (or almost always) still having a place for us to park our car and sleep on top of it? All we really need is a spot, a shower and a bathroom.

We are aware of the solar eclipse (first read about that once we had already booked our flights & car) but really hope to avoid some of the crowds by spending that time in the highlands (preferably without having to book the campsite ahead of time in order to be able to make a run for it).

Thank you for your help!
