Great M+ experience today!
Am learning to tank and the dungeons this season. Join a +6 Seat, which ive never done before. I let them know in group chat that im learning to tank, I dont know the routes, but have a guide up on a second monitor. They say its cool, and the DH even offers to tank. I ask him if hes cool with me doing it since its his key, and he says its fine. I let them know to ping or yell at me in chat if I go the wrong way, my feelings won't be hurt.
Partway through the thirdd pull (right before first boss), pally says "oops, wrong spec". He then runs out to change specs after combat. I did NOT see that part, and proceed to pull the first boss, putting us in combat and not allowing pally in.
Pally leaves group, I apologize profusely. We all step out of the dungeon, and I feel terrible for bricking the key.
Pally joins the group again, the group tells me im doing a good job tanking. We step back in, and 3 star the dungeon. No toxicity, no flaming, nothing bad at all. We gg at the end, I tell the shammy healer hes cracked keeping us alive through some of my mistakes, and we all have a good day.
Great experience, 10/10 have bumbled my way through more keys since then.
