I see a lot of questions about pro controller recommendations for FPS.
I would strongly advise against using either the Wolverine V3 TE or Pro especially for FPS.
(Yes the firmware and app are up to date)
Controller deadzone shapes are extremely awkward. The “standard” mode makes in game response curves massively inconsistent. It also favors horizontal movement heavily over vertical no matter in game settings. The “Circular” feels better, but is very sluggish even with setting deadzone to zero and disabling their double deadzone option. Comparing it to a regular Xbox controller it feels way more responsive than the V3, which is terrible for a $150 pro controller.
The app screws with your Xbox constantly. You never know what a game will feel like on any given day because the app software competes with the Xbox. I have exhausted every setting combination and nothing works. Even with the app not running in the background, I experience constant corrupted data issues, cloud synch errors, and ghost inputs.
I have even replaced the controllers themselves ruling out faulty models. Save yourself the headache and stay away from these controllers.
