Is anyone else getting this issue / know how to resolve it?

Currently our 3 year co-op career save is bugged. I qualified P22 but for some reason it starts me in P1 with my car inside the P1 drivers car. When the race starts, we cross the line, I set fastest lap somehow and then it red flags and crashes the game. (Within 2-3 seconds of the start)

At the hungaroring if that matters.
We’ve tried disabling red flags, doesn’t fix anything. It’s almost like it has started me a full lap behind.

I do have a 60 place grid penalty because I bought a new component in every slot, is this “too big” a penalty for the game to handle?
