Hi,
I’d like to extend an outdoor plug. I need to get an extension ring. The circuit is already GFCI. I understand if I extend from this outlet, the new outlet will be protected by the GFCI too, is that correct?

I had a couple questions. The box in the wall is plastic. I can only find metallic extension rings. I would need to ground the extension, right?

Second, does it matter if I connect to the top or bottom screws on the side of my outlet?
