If this breaks any rules, I’m truly sorry. I just don’t know where else to turn for help anymore—I’m really sorry.
Hi everyone. I’m a beginner witch, and I’ve made sure to study protection and all the basics carefully. I really love tarot, and just two days ago I cleansed my tarot deck, along with my other divination tools.
Right now, I’m staying in the countryside with my mom. Our house is very close to the forest. It’s peaceful, quiet—honestly calming (aside from the occasional loud motorcycle from neighbors).
But something strange happened when I went to sleep in my mom’s room—which I rarely do. She had already fallen asleep, since she always sleeps early. Around 3 a.m., I half-woke up… and I saw what looked like the shadow of someone sitting on the bed, staring at me. It was right beside me.
At first, I thought it was my mom—but if it were her, I would’ve heard her lie down. We sleep close enough that it’s impossible not to notice. Still, that part didn’t unsettle me as much as what came after.
Earlier tonight, I left my tarot deck and other tools out on the balcony to absorb the moon’s energy. I’m certain I placed them somewhere clearly visible, inside a transparent box. There’s no way animals or birds could’ve taken them.
But my tarot deck disappeared.
I panicked at first, but then I went to wash my face, thinking I might just be groggy from sleep. When I came back… it was right where it had been.
I tried to convince myself I was just tired—but I hadn’t gone anywhere or done anything exhausting. I’ve been resting at home the whole time.
In that moment, I felt an overwhelming panic. It was like something was watching me… from everywhere—the trees, the bushes, the flowers, even the forest behind the house.
What should I do? Should I calm myself down first—maybe drink some tea? Or should I strengthen my protection again?
Please, I need advice. I’ve never really had a witch community before—I’ve always studied on my own. At first, I wasn’t scared. I thought this would be something comforting, something grounding.
But now that something strange has happened for the first time in my life… I’m honestly panicking.
