My prediction is that China will make it to the finals with 3:1 wins against both Korea and France. I think Wang should be able to secure two points, and Lin Shidong can probably take another one. I’m not sure how Liang would do, but I have confidence in Lin Shidong so it shouldn’t matter.
For Japan vs Chinese Taipei, I’m predicting a 3:2 victory for Japan, although I only favour them slightly. I think Lin Yun-ju can beat both Harimoto and Sora, but Team Japan still has a decent chance of securing the three points against the rest of the Chinese Taipei lineup. Hopefully Togami can pull himself together, otherwise Japan is cooked.
As for the finals, I think Wang will take two points no matter who China faces. If China plays Japan, I think Lin Shidong may struggle against Harimoto and Sora, so I’m predicting a 3:2 victory for China. If they face Chinese Taipei, I expect a more comfortable 3:1 or 3:0 win, since Lin Shidong has a strong record against Lin Yun-ju and the rest of Chinese Taipei shouldn’t pose a challenge for him.
