I would like to get into spearfishing, but since i live in the alps i cant just go and start it out. Therefore i would try it, the next time i am by the sea(probably mediterranean). To at least be a little prepared id like to train for it. I would like to get your opinion on what depth one should be able to dive down to and how long i should be able to stay down.

I have been snorkeling when i had the chance since i was a child, so i at least know some things about the diving part, but my expirience isn‘t great, since i only had the chance to do it 1 or 2 times a year for a few days.

i would be grateful for any tips or input you might have
