How many times did you have to read your letter ?

How many times did you have to read your letter ?

Not sure about everyone else, but when I got my decision letter last year, I had to read it at least four or five times before I remotely understood what was going on.

Even at that point couldn’t figure out if I was Permanent and Total. Finally ran it through ChatGPT and asked it to break it down for me.

I 100% attribute it to the level of excitement I had in getting my rating.
But it definitely helped to have chat lay it out for me.

I have seen this making the rounds on other platforms. I was hoping any VSRs or RVSRs out there that might be able to shed some light on the validity and the ramifications of this change.

Question for those far more knowledgeable than I out there.

This is not for me, a fellow veteran, who is not on this platform, filed an HLR yesterday reference to the effective date of his latest claim.

His effective date on this rating is March 25, 2026. His intent to file, which should be the effective date is March 28, 2025.

It appears that the effective date was connected to the date of filing on his most recent claim, not his ITF.

His prior service connected and rated conditions all fall under TERA, as do the conditions in this current claim.

The HLR does not revolve around his ratings, which were all fair and in line with his symptoms.

Is the timeline still the same as I’m seeing in other posts, anywhere from 120 to 180 days + or is it a more faster review since it is the effective date only?
