I am 2 weeks post op and I can’t tolerate fat :( I can eat about 2g per meal and that’s it and I’m talking super lean fat like sliced turkey. The other day I tried Yough pizza (Greek yogurt crust with only 7g per serving). I had half of one serving and had a bad stomach ache and diarrhea. Another day I tried a yasso bar (I can handle certain flavors totally fine) but tried this new flavor because it was .5g fat and had it after eating chicken for dinner. I woke up the next day with HORRIBLE diarrhea cramps for hours and had several bathroom trips. It took the whole day for my stomach to feel okay.
I know 2 weeks is during the transition period and your body is relearning how to work with the continues bile dripping but I’m starting to really struggle mentally with the idea of having a very limited diet for the rest of my life. I’m a big foodie and my boyfriend is literally a chef. Can someone please give me hope that they struggled with fat intolerance after surgery and are now doing fine.
