I didn’t get into my #1. I understand that rankings are not as important outside of T14 schools, but the school that I am currently committed to is much lower ranked. In previous cycles my #1 should’ve been a perfect target school, so I was shocked to not even be WL.
If I started law school this fall, I would have to commute about 50min-1hr30min to the school (depending on traffic). Definitely doable, but adding any extra stressors to 1L seems unwise. And I will not lie, I am not the most passionate about this school.
On the other hand, I feel like I could get my LSAT higher and improve my app. But if I don’t go back to school this year, I think it would be wise to get more job experience. I have been underemployed for over a year, now, and the job market has seemed to only get worse.
Am I being dramatic? Or is reapplying a good idea?
