I’m 37, female. My father was adopted so I’m missing a chunk of genetic family history there. In 2016 I had my first lipid panel done and my LDL was 138. I was running half marathons and eating pretty well. Last month my LDL was 162… today my apo B is 121. Still waiting for lipoprotein result. I’m thinking this is genetic and seems like even diet and exercise didn’t make that large of impact. Now I’m mad that over the last decade this has all been brushed off “oh you are young”… now I want a family and I know pregnancy can do worse things to cholesterol.
