I have owned this phone for 2 weeks but it seems they have all the unlock permission quota exhausted. Xiaomi no longer seem to want to allow unlocking bootloaders and people are making all kinds of scripts to hammer their servers at midnight but still failing to do so.

What's the official policy from Xiaomi? Are they gonna close this off? I am not looking forward to September 2026 when google will make sideload harder and want to unlock bootloader to run AOSP roms.
