I have worked for over 7+ years at a company that does independent damage assessments for insurance carriers. We work with all the major carriers and write technical reports for HVAC, electrical, appliances, etc and help them process their claims.

My job involves interviewing technicians, collecting field data, researching costs/repairability, and summarizing our professional recommendation for the adjusters. It is primarily work from home and my position pays around 100k depending on bonus opportunities.

It is a good company but advancement opportunities are limited and my compensation growth has stagnated in the last few years.

I have been looking into roles within SIU teams at major carriers, or similar Fraud Analyst positions. I'd also be open to other remote/hybrid roles if the work/life balance or compensation advantages were worth it.

Looking for feedback from those currently working in SIU on what it's like for them and what carriers treat their employees well. Interested to hear from anyone in a similar position as me or an adjacent field they would recommend.

Thank you!
