One week in to boost anti-depressant?

I had posted in similar forums a couple of times looking for help because my binge eating and obsessive food thoughts were getting all consuming — Wellbutrin was incredibly effective for a few years but the effects faded over time. I thought maybe a GLP-1 would quiet it but would never do anything without consulting my doctor.

My very open minded psych suggested I try LDN to try to bring some of the calm I felt initially on Wellbutrin back and after a week, I am thrilled. A lot of my mental health issues started when I got severe Lyme in 2022, but my BED behaviors are super ingrained and have been on and off for years. Here’s a paper on the use of LDN to support anti-depressant efficacy.

I’m posting here because I can’t believe how incredible this has been for me and I am wondering if anyone had similar experiences? I’ve had a bit of trouble titrating but I’m taking around 4.5mg (finally figured it out…) and so far I have
* Felt totally in control of my relationship with food. My appetite is lower but I assume that will level out. I do want to eat, though, and I’ve been eating until I’m full and then stopping, which I’ve never really been able to do
* Canceled a hangout with someone I knew wasn’t a great choice to hang out with and who I mostly liked hanging out with for a quick rush or dopamine hit
* Felt much less inclined to mindlessly scroll the internet
* Was able to make myself go to sleep at a regular time instead of staying up
* Told my partner about my BED behaviors

The less great but doable:
* I am so thirsty and my lips are so chapped. This happened to me for a while on Wellbutrin too, but it’s kind of intense. Been drinking a ton of electrolytes and water
* My dreams are very strange
* A bit agitated
* I’m so surprised at the effects that I can’t stop thinking about how much better I feel, which takes more brain space than I want it to

I know that some of this stuff will fade, and most of it is extremely similar to what I felt my first month on Wellbutrin, but I’m wondering for those of you who are feeling better on it, what are you feeling?
