I'm planning a road trip around the Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture in Xinjiang with my Chinese friend (PRC citizen). We'll be meeting up in Shenyang before flying to Urumqi, renting a car, and hopefully sharing the driving burden.

A few sources imply that only official drivers license translations from approved companies are accepted when applying for a Chinese temporary driving permit. I'm having a difficult time figuring out what is considered an approved translation company. Is something like rushtranslate.com accepted?

I'm also coming across sources saying there are companies on Taobao that do this, however, I'm in the US and can't access Taobao.
