Adhesive Removal

Any advice on how to remove this ultra strong factory adhesive off of the fiberglass hull? When I chipped a piece off it pulled the gel coat with it. Thanks!

Looking for a first 357 lever gun and both of these are in stock at the lgs. They are both the non-delux option and the 1892 is $200 less. Just wondering what you all would choose and why. This won’t be a Cowboy action gun, just recreational gun that will last me and give me that pride of ownership. Thanks
