If a landlord has a 4 bed HMO, and one of the rooms is empty could he move in and use it as his main residence? Is that allowed (assuming it genuinely becomes his main residence).
Would that then make the tenants become lodgers? Or would they retain their tenant status?
Or, slight twist on above, what if he moves in and uses that as a process to ask existing tenants to leave.
Then once they have left he could get lodgers to move in?
