Would you use a news app that explains how today's news affects YOUR life?
News consumption feels broken right now. We all get the exact same generic headlines, whether you're an IT professional in Mumbai or a freelance designer in Delhi.
Financial, business, and policy news is usually buried in jargon. The media is great at telling you the event, but leaves you completely on your own to figure out the impact.
I'm building Knudge to fix this. You tell it a little about yourself, your profession, your city, what you're currently tracking. It delivers a daily brief that filters today's news through your life and gives you a clear next step for each story.
Example:
RBI just cut the repo rate by 25 basis points.
• For someone with a home loan: Your EMI is about to drop. But don't wait for your bank to tell you. Call them this week and confirm they're passing on the rate cut.
• For someone with money sitting idle in a savings account: This is your reminder that savings account interest rates will follow. Move whatever you don't need in the next 6 months into a debt mutual fund before the window closes.
Same news. Two completely different things to do about it. That's what Knudge does.
We're still building. But there's a sample brief on Knudge that shows exactly what this looks like in practice.
Brutal feedback welcome:
Would you actually use something like this daily?
What would make you pay for it?
If we kept it completely free by generating revenue through other means, would that change how you feel about it?
