Hi everyone!
My 8 month old is successfully sleep trained, but he still cries really loudly whenever we put him down for naps or bedtime. The thing is, he usually falls asleep within 3ish-5ish minutes.
He’s always been a super cuddly baby and loves being held. A few times I tried holding him to sleep instead, and he literally fell asleep within seconds. Even if he wakes up during transfer or middle of the night, he’ll quickly usually soothe himself back to sleep after.
Is this normal? I feel guilty sometimes because I wonder if he just wants comfort/cuddles and I’m not giving him that.
Also, is it possible to hold a baby to sleep at this age without completely ruining sleep training or creating longterm bad habits?
Would love insight on anyone with a similar situation! 😞
