Hello! For context, I work for a school district in western Canada; we have a significant population of Hutterites here, and their schools are part of the public school system. To help bridge Indigenous reconciliation efforts and understanding with the relatively isolated Hutterite culture, I've been tasked with translating the district's standard land acknowledgement to Standardhochdeutsch. (Yes, it will be quite different than what they speak day to day, I am aware.)

I've done the best I can, but my German is still very intermediate and this is formal language around a concept that doesn't really exist in Europe in the same way, so....difficult to translate. My attempt is probably kind of terrible. I'd appreciate if some native and C level speakers could look this over and point out any mistakes and appropriate corrections! Thanks in advance :)

Original English text:

[School district] would like to acknowledge the land and recognize all the Indigenous Peoples whose footprints have marked these lands from time immemorial. Together, we can learn and honour the ways of knowing of Indigenous Peoples for all future generations.

Attempted translation:

[School district] möchten das Land würdigen und alle Ureinwohner anerkennen, deren Fußstapfen seit undenklichen Zeiten auf dieses Land ausgewirkt haben. Zusammen können wir die Wissenwege der Ureinwohner für alle zukünftigen Generationen lernen und ehren.
