I just got an ad for the new full metal rainbow. I already have a full metal square and DID love it. But, as with every other gshock square I own, I did get a scratch on the crystal. Now, every time I look down all I see is that damn scratch. This was a $550 watch. The new one is $880 and they are STILL using mineral glass. What would it cost for sapphire? Maybe $5 more per watch. After all, they use the same size crystal on most squares. Do they not get how the lack of sapphire degrades the ownership experience? And who the heck is going to pay $880 just to see scratches on their watch crystal? Very infuriating.
