so I have some tadpoles in my wildlife pond that was new last June. my wildlife Pond is on a small lot in the middle of the city of Seattle, which is known to have a lot of rats.
About three different raccoons or three sets of raccoons some as big as four raccoons come through my little tiny 6 x 8 pond every night and eat snails and tadpoles.
So I put in a bunch of sticks in the pong because that was the advice I got because it creates a jumble of sticks that the tadpoles can hide in.
since I’ve covered the pond in random assortment of the sticks, the raccoons don’t seem to be munching on the tadpoles as much, but there’s not very many left and now rats are traversing the sticks to hang out at the pond. They don’t seem to be eating anything yet but when the froglets starts resting on the sticks, I’m afraid the rats will eat them.
