Hi all,

Usually good with Latin names, but this one has me stumped! Talking with friends about bluetongues who belong to the genus Tiliqua and realised none of us know what Tiliqua means and have driven ourselves silly trying to work it out with nothing to show! 😭

Any ideas on the Latin etymology and meaning of this word would be amazing brains trust ❤

Hi all,

Have made it through my big surgery and am now home recovering with some good pain meds and family support ❤

When I was coming out of surgery I was apparently speaking in greek and ranting about the gods. My husband told me I was imploring the nurses that the gods were real and that Dionysus and a whole list of other gods were there, but I don't remember it at all 😅

A few years ago I had an experience when unwell where I saw Dionysus and the snakes of Asklepios, but I remember that quite well. This time I remember nothing and I really want to know what I saw and what I was saying!

Was very pleased that my husband remembered to pour our household libations while I was in hospital (usually I do this for our family as I'm an early riser), as well as offerings and prayer for my healing which made me very happy ❤

I was also allowed to choose a pre-order rose variety (pictured) to look forward to when I'm recovered. Its a hybrid tea Rose called Chicago Peace with the most gorgeous colouring and will be added to my devotional garden. Very excited 🌹

Still too sore to get around well (may not get out to our fenceline altar for a while), but hopefully I'll be able to get back to my usual worship routine in a few weeks when I'm a bit more healed 🤞
