I’m a baseball card collector, but I’ve been dabbling in the new licensed Topps football and basketball sets. I picked up and opened around a dozen Bowman basketball value boxes within the first couple days of release, but didn’t really pull anything other than a reptilian refractor Flagg. I figured I was done after boxes quickly disappeared from shelves, but I stumbled across a couple boxes at a GameStop yesterday and bought them with no expectations of pulling anything. They turned out to be my best impulse purchases in recent memory. In addition to the two autos, the pair of boxes contained a gold Wemby /50 and a LeBron Hobby Shop insert /199.
