After 15+ years I finally decided to make a new PC again. I am mostly a Linux/Mac person, but used to have a gaming PC back in the days. Finally decided to make a SFF build (first time) for both gaming and scientific purposes.

Specs:

- 9950X3D (-36 CCD0, -26 CCD1)

- Gigabyte RTX 5080

- Kingston 128GB RAM (2x64 5600 CL36, OC to 6000 CL34)

- 2x Samsung 9100 Pro 4TB

- Asus 850I Gaming

- Hyte Revolt 3 + Corsair SFF 1000W

- Be Quite 280mm AIO + 2x Silent Wing 4 Pro 140mm fans

Really happy with the build and it runs surprisingly cool and quite. During gaming (e.g. Battlefield 6), CPU doesn’t go above 64C with fans at 800RPM, and GPU at 59C (40% fan speed). RE Requim runs even cooler with the CPU at 62C and GPU 57C.

Scientific workload can get toasty with the CPU approaching 81C with the fans at 900RPM (24h workloads).

Really disappointed with Windows OS, it’s amazingly bad, good GOD!!! But not everything in life can be perfect 😊.
