I know this is an older release but I was blown away by how good this disc was from Universal. For a film from 1971? It looks stunning. The remaster is remarkable(The complaints about AI are way overblown for the theatrical cut. I didn't notice any obvious AI issues at all with the remaster nor as many chunky grain scenes as others did.), and the Atmos track is reference quality. And it also ports over most if not all of the features from the previous releases as well as the TV cut.

The TV cut though is the one blemish on this disc. There was clearly some DNR and AI shenanigans involved with this cut. But that doesn't make this disc poor by any means at all.

If you were for whatever reason on the fence about this one? Don't be. This is absolutely worth getting and then some. There are people saying it's just an acceptable or average disc and I don't agree with that at all. The film itself is also fantastic and holds up very well. It's also usually in Gruv's sales, so you should be able to get a great deal on it.

I was just watching some random YouTube videos and a clip from Boston's video for More Than a Feeling popped up and I swear that Tommy in a 70's style wig is a dead ringer of a young Brad Delp. Which is great company to be in because Brad was an incredible singer and amazingly talented in his own right. And had a fantastic stage presence just like Tommy.

If you want a laugh and to listen to some great music? Put on the music video for Boston's "More than a Feeling." It's like Tommy time traveled to the 70's and was on stage with the band.
