Wanting to apply as a cook with no work experience
Hi I am 27M from the Philippines and was wondering if I could land a job on a cruiseship as a cook without prior work experience since I will be getting my diploma for Culinary and Pastry this year.
I will be having OJT for 600 hours this May, I am also an NCII certificate holder in cookery.
Other certificates I believe to be relevant are my Bronze medal award in the Philippine Culinary Cup in 2025, and a Basic Occupational Safety and Health(BOSH) for Safety Officer 1 back in 2023.
Do I have a decent shot or should I gain work experience in established hotels/restaurants first?
