I'm attempting to knit some surfaces together. One surface was created from a "Revolved Surface". The second surface I'm trying knit was generated from a "Filled Surface". That surface is based on an "Extruded Surface". The follow error is being raised when I trying to knit the revolved surface and filled surface:

• Rebuild Error: the selected faces and surfaces cannot be knitted into one surface"

I'm having difficulty wrapping my head around the differences between these two concepts. If an explanation or a visual example can be provided that would be great.
