I haven’t seen one in weeks- admittedly I have been busy with my “real” job and may have missed it, but I miss the days when we could count on twice a week.

I find myself with a non refundable night (I honestly didn’t know that I was booking a non refundable rate) that I cannot use. I called and explained that I was booking and canceling regularly trying to make a block of days. I then changed my tactic to start my loop from Kalaloch instead of ending there and booked rooms that way. Once I had those, I started canceling my first set of rooms but found that only this one was non refundable.
The Lodge won’t refund me but they said I can “find someone else” to take the reservation. Then call them and let them know who will be checking in.

Here is the basic plan but I'm looking for suggestions: Arrival Thursday July 30, 2026
Day 1: land at SEA about 10:00 AM, grab rental car and be on the road by 1:00 PM. Grab some lunch/groceries once I'm on the peninsula and out of the worst of traffic. Check-in at Hobuck Beach Resort at 4:00 PM. Settle in for a bit and grab dinner in Neah Bay, visit Cape Flattery. Head back to Hobuck Beach Resort.
Day 2: low tide is at negative at 8:00 AM so tidepooling early until check out at 11:00. Grab lunch somewhere (Forks?) and do some easy hiking. I do not have lodging booked...
Day 3: same as Day 2 or venture more into the hiking aspect by visiting Sol Duc and/or Hoh or some less crowded options, if they exist? Again, lodging not booked.
Day 4: depending on answer to day 3 venture more into the hiking aspect by visiting Sol Duc and/or Hoh or some less crowded options, if they exist or head north to Port Angeles or Port Townsend for whale watching? Again, lodging not booked.
Day 5: Port Angeles or Port Townsend area for horseback riding and??
Day 6: sleep in then visit Hurricane Ridge. Grab dinner somewhere. Return to Hurricane Ridge at 10:00 PM for telescope viewing. Afterward drive back to SEA? don't chance that and spend another day in the area?
Please offer any advice you may have - I've never been before and I am overcome with indecision but all to aware that I had better book sooner than later. Thank you.
