As a victim of hit and run accident by an impaired driver where can I get help
I live in Vancouver and I m victim of hit and run accident my car was total lost and the other driver was impaired
Later he was caught and I had been chasing the crown counselor several time for updates finally found out the case was closed ( without ever informing me) and the guy who hit me was convicted to dangerous operation of a conveyance and fined $100
It has been a year after the accident I still have numbness in fingers and later found out might need neck surgery
Really appreciate some advise on what are my rights as ICBC been trying to stop my treatment - they kept saying soft muscle injury should resolve in 12 weeks
I asked the police officer before he said if there’s a successful conviction I can try to find a lawyer to help me
I tried to call several law firm on Google all of them said they won’t take cases like this
Where else can I find help please?
No fault insurance seems protecting people at fault ???
$100 fine for impairing driving conviction seems ridiculous ??
