This is in the game files the MP 717 r which is a captured German PPSH 41. Right now Germany does not have a BR 5 smg in the Tech Tree. This gun has high fire rate and has a 71 round drum. Its an easy fix and they should add this back right.
Here are my ideas:
Maybe if not permanent say as a event as players for earning every 15k points you get one MP717r for a maxium amount of 10 you can earn.
Add into the lootboxes I think this is the worst option as it comes down to complete rng. You could spend 100k Silver and not even get what you want.
Temporarily add it tech tree similar to the Maus in War Thuder. There would be a window of time where players when players could earn it. It would at the very end of German Tech Tree for SMGS. Putting in say 120k research points and you would fully unlock it in the shop. You would have say a week to do that.
Simply add it into the tech Tree permanently. I mean to me it makes sense as germany did capture a lot of PPSH 41 submachine guns in ww2. While they werent standard issue they were common on the Eastern Front.
Ok question for Veteran Players from the Stalingrad Era and the general playerbase would you all support it? Hasnt the gun been Exclusive long enough? Is the gatekeeping a good thing?
