Marriage-based green card denied due to missed RFE — filed I-290B motion to reopen, what are my chances?

I entered the U.S. on an F-1 visa and later married a U.S. citizen. We filed for adjustment of status, and I already completed biometrics/fingerprints earlier in the process.

My original case already included relationship evidence such as photos together, a joint lease, and a joint bank account.

Later, USCIS sent me an RFE requesting Form I-864 and my birth certificate/civil documents. Unfortunately, the RFE response was submitted late due to issues involving my attorney’s health and an address change, and my case was denied because the RFE deadline was missed.

After receiving the denial notice, I filed Form I-290B (Motion to Reopen) and submitted all the requested RFE documents, including the I-864 and translated/certified birth certificate.

Right now I’m waiting for a decision on the motion to reopen. My original F-1 status has already expired, so I’m worried about my current situation while waiting.

Did I handle this situation correctly? How strong or weak does my case sound, and what are the chances USCIS might reopen it?
