Future as a Process Simulation Engineer

Graduated last year with a 6.6/10 CGPA and spent the past year in a non-tech role. Now I’m trying to move into core chemical engineering, mainly process simulation and project work.

I’ve started learning tools like DWSim and CAPE-OPEN-based simulators.

Just wanted to ask—how’s the future in this field? Is there good salary growth and a clear career path for process simulation engineers? And what should I focus on to break into this role?

Any advice would really help.
