I feel like quitting weed is gonna cost me my job because I can no longer sleep!

I just quit weed (daily smoker) a few days ago, and the insomnia is hitting hard. The real joke is I've slept okay on nights where I don't have work in the morning.

Already once this week I've called in sick because I had zero sleep. My job is not a job where you should be going in on zero sleep. Mistakes could be costly. Once again I've gone to bed at a decent time, given myself plenty of "fall asleep" time with the desired hours of sleep in mind, and proceeded to lay awake for hours. I have work in a couple of hours.

Work amongst other things is actually one of the reasons I quit, because they'd probably fire me if they knew I did it. Luckily they don't test, but it's definitely a no no from talk I've heard around the place. For this reason I've been pretty paranoid about them finding out, somebody catching a faint whiff etc. I smoked for a couple of years before starting my current job, so I was already a daily smoker when I started, and recently I've realised I REALLY need to stop because THC was ruling my life, and it was only going to be a matter of time before somebody at work finds out. But now I've stopped, I feel like NOT smoking may also get me fired because I'm either gonna be calling in sick every time I've been unable to sleep, or going in dead on my feet and potentially making mistakes. Also there are obviously financial implications of having too much time off. The double standard is they wouldn't like me calling in sick simply because I haven't slept, but if I made a mistake and told them it's because I haven't slept, they'd tell me I shouldn't have come in tired.

Former smokers, is there anything you were able to do to essentially knock yourself out for a decent night's sleep? I have no intention of taking up the habit again just to get to sleep.
