Anyone get Cab through PCP instead of Endocrinologist?
I've got labs: prolactin levels were at ~600 ng/ml and when retested a few weeks later were up to 950 ng/ml. Testosterone is basically non existent.
I've got an MRI. 18mm tumor.
I've got symptoms like headache, fatigue and night sweats.
What I don't have is an endocrinologist, and it looks like it will be 8 weeks before I can get started. Has anyone ever had their primary care provider start you on meds?
As worried as I am about the potential side effects, two more months of waiting sounds worse, plus it would put me starting a new med during the busiest part of the year for my job.
