Car has about 200,000 miles, has been on the road and reliable for two decades now and I was hoping to make it to classic status. It has been overheating, and we replaced the thermostat twice, the coolant reservoir, and several more parts, without being able to diagnose the source of the problem. We were planning to replace a possibly cracked radiator when the car overheated again, and now will not turn over. Now I'm thinking it may be intake manifold gaskets?
Also thinking we may have to replace the entire engine if I want to keep the car, which I do. Although I am being told it is not worth it. Or could it be a blown head gasket? Would love people's perspectives here. I had a 1988 Chevrolet Celebrity that I still regret getting rid of.
3.1 engine. A-cars ftw.
